bold E-HandBook
One of the many challenges in the drone market today is enabling drone manufacturers and drone operators to develop new services based on unmanned aircraft systems that are financially competitive while complying with regulations. Today, while the regulatory part regarding airworthiness is firmly addressed by an international effort, many regulatory aspects and how to comply with them remain difficult for drone market players to understand due to their complexity and fast pace of change in this emerging market. Moreover, being compliant with the legislation means spending resources (time, money, work).
The objective of the E-HandBook R&I point of view : [CIR => bi-monthly piloting => listing of missing techno-bricks with GTN + Shiv and each meeting : status : solved / new blockages] Creation of formatted and customized flight authorization requests; Production of dynamic lists of regulatory requirements to be met and means of compliance to be deployed according to the operational concept of the drone system presented; User point of view : [work -> bi-monthly presentation to GTN => ok / KO => Actions / end user vision ]
Reduce the cost and effort associated with the specification, verification and validation of unmanned aircraft systems. The E-HandBook is a tool for identifying the legal requirements and associated means of compliance relevant to the user's activities.
This tool ensures a constant update of the European regulations and facilitates the legal steps (typically the declarations of activities) in order to obtain their "Permit to Fly".
As input, the user gives a description of his "concept of operations (ConOps)".
As an output, the E-HandBook gives the list of regulations to which the user is subject (airworthiness, environmental impact, security, confidentiality requirements) as well as the corresponding means of compliance to satisfy them.
